Our mission is to spread regenerative livestock farming

to contribute to the transition of the Livestock Sector towards a regenerative and sustainable model

Our Purpose
We are the Chilean Association of Regenerative Livestock Farming, ACHIGANAR, a non-profit corporation founded in 2024. Our mission is to spread regenerative livestock farming, to contribute to the transition of the Chilean Livestock Sector towards a regenerative and sustainable model.
ACHIGANAR is committed to:
Restoring soil health, animal welfare and biodiversity, and restoring ecosystems, both in Chile and around the world
The prosperity and resilience of agricultural producers, as well as the communities and territories to which they belong.
The production of healthy, nutrient-dense foods that generate positive ecological, economic and social impact.
The creation of more equitable, inclusive and sustainable agri-food systems at local, national and global levels.
Education and dissemination for the conscious consumption of healthy, regeneratively produced foods .

Our History

ACHIGANAR was born thanks to the drive of people and companies that are deeply committed to the dissemination of regenerative knowledge and practices to accelerate the transition of agricultural and food systems towards sustainability.
Through countless conversations and work meetings between 2019 and 2023, we understood the need to create an association to enhance and amplify our individual and collective impact. In this process, although challenging, we learned to collaborate, build consensus and virtuously articulate our diverse professional, business and cultural perspectives. This has allowed us to build solid foundations and a clear mission for ACHIGANAR, the first association of regenerative companies in Chile.
Its five founding companies have more than three decades of experience in Regenerative Livestock Farming (in the regions of Araucanía, Los Ríos, Los Lagos and Magallanes) and their leaders include people from diverse professions and work backgrounds, which they have put at the service of ACHIGANAR for the creation of a multidisciplinary work team that leads its work with passion and expertise.
ACHIGANAR seeks to work from a holistic, collaborative and connected perspective with the different actors in society: international organizations, public actors, companies and trade associations, universities, scientists and educational actors, social and community organizations. This approach strengthens our work and ensures a lasting impact on the agriculture and livestock of the future.
