The Chilean Regenerative Livestock Association (ACHIGANAR) shared the results of an exploratory online survey, designed to understand the profile, interests and challenges of its current and potential members. With 138 participants from different regions of the country, this study offers valuable conclusions to guide the organization's strategy in its mission to transform Chilean livestock farming towards a regenerative and sustainable model.

Main findings:
Participants profile:
Decision makers in livestock companies (52.9%) and sector employees (15.2%) predominate.
The majority of participants are dedicated to bovine production, with 57% in meat and 20% in milk.
To learn about livestock farming and stay informed, participants mainly use digital media and technical training, with 60.1% and 36.2% mentions, respectively.
54% already participate in union organizations.
Knowledge about regenerative livestock:
47% of those surveyed declare they know "a lot" or "a lot" about regenerative livestock farming, while 53% report having "regular", "little" or "nothing" knowledge. This reflects a positive bias towards the regenerative paradigm among the participants, which shows that the questionnaire managed to reach those who have already begun to educate themselves about this new paradigm.
Livestock challenges:
The main topics of concern of those surveyed in the context of their livestock activities are pasture and forage (52.8% of mentions), soil (39.8%) and water (31.1%).
Interés en ganadería regenerativa:
An overwhelming 91% of participants expressed interest in continuing to learn about regenerative livestock farming.
The most attractive aspects of regenerative livestock farming for participants are: its contribution to ecosystem biodiversity (16.3% of mentions), cost reduction (13.5%) and restoration of degraded soils (13.5% ).
This study highlights the potential of ACHIGANAR as a key actor in the promotion of regenerative livestock farming in Chile, in areas such as the organization of training, collaborative networks and digital dissemination for the development of more sustainable, biodiverse and resilient livestock farming.
